Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly happening.
